The Mobile Office can also be installed in the truck for use as a standing desk. Installation per vehicle make and model will vary, but generally:
The Laptop Tray is compatible with 10" to 16" Wide Laptops and 17" Wide Screens
The Laptop Arm consists of 4 rotation joints: 1 at the "shoulder", 1 at the "elbow", and 2 at the "wrist". Additionally, the height of the entire arm can be adjusted by telescoping the Post in or out of the Mobile Office.
Additionally, the Laptop Arm contains a feature to offset the weight of your laptop - to "float" your laptop at any height so it does not move up or down on its own.
To adjust Post height: turn the knob on the top of the Post counterclockwise until you can lift the Post up by the knob. Lift to desired height. Turn clockwise to secure the arm at the new height
Your Laptop Arm and tray arrived in the Stowed Position. This is how you will place the arm for transport or storage
To return to Stowed Position: remove laptop from tray, return post to its lower position (See below), press arm back into Stowed Position. Next, wrap bungee cord over the top of both arm segments and use free end of bungee cord to hook to the arm post bolt (where the base end of your bungee is mounted)
For safety and convenience, the laptop arm MUST be immobilized during driving or when rolling the Mobile Office.
The "shoulder" joint is the how the arm attaches to the Post. This joint can spin freely around the post, and is adjusted by a small set screw on the top of the two flanges.
To adjust how much rotation resistance the Shoulder provides:
The “wrist” joints of the laptop are the last pivots before the tray and determine the angle of the laptop tray.
To adjust how much resistance these provide:
The elbow joint, as with the wrist joints, is
The elbow joint contains a spring that is designed to offset the weight of your laptop. To balance tension to “float” laptop, so that it does not move up or down on its own:
The mobile office is equipped with a retractable handle and two wheels so it may be easily rolled, much like a modern suitcase.
Ensure the Laptop Arm is secured in the Stowed position before rolling the Mobile Office.
Depress the button on the handle at the top of the mobile office and gently slide the handle up until it locks into place. To retract the handle, depress the button and slide the handle all the way down until it locks into place.
The Lid is only attached for shipping or air travel.
